Cuvée presentation

A blend of two casks distilled in 2008 and ten casks distilled in 2007, this version is aged entirely in the continental climate of Europe and displays an ester content of 243.5 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. To better appreciate the strong personality of this Monymusk stamped ‘wedderburn’, it is essential to let time do its work. The exquisite notes of rubber and acacia gum which, long afterwards, nourish the dry extracts in the empty glass and reveal the aromatic palette in a whole new light, are a vibrant testimony to this. Limited edition of 2705 bottles.

The distillery Monymusk

Monymusk is the main brand produced at the Clarendon distillery (National Rums of Jamaica), which is located on the site of the Monymusk sugar plantation from which it takes its name. It is today owned jointly by the Jamaican government, Demerara Distillers Limited in Guyana and Maison Ferrand in France. Clarendon was built in 1949. Originally it was a small distillery equipped with a single Vendome still, which was joined in 2009 by a larger still and a five-column still. The distillery’s warehouses are located at the Inswood distillery, which is also owned by National Rums of Jamaica and closed in 1992.
