Domain: Cascade Hollow

Although the first records of distillation at Cascade Hollow date back to the 19th century, the modern-day Cascade Hollow distillery was only built in 1958 by Schenley after it lost out on the acquisition of Jack Daniel’s to Brown Forman. The George Dickel brand was bought by Schenley at the end of Prohibition and originally produced at the George T. Stagg distillery (today’s Buffalo Trace distillery). The first George Dickel Tennessee Whisky was released in 1964.
