Price estimate statistics ----The Beenleigh distillery is famous for being Australia’’s oldest distillery. Its story began in 1884 when a boat transporting a magnificent copper still ran aground in Beenleigh, near a sugar cane estate on the banks of the Albert River in Queensland. Almost 140 years later, rum continues to be produced in the same location. The estate continues to use the same high-quality, local ingredients, including sugar cane from the family mill, rainwater collected via a dam, and premium yeast strains. These are then showcased with the help of the rum producers’’ ancestral and traditional expertise. After distillation, the spirits are aged in historic wooden vats previously used for brandy. Aged for two to fifteen years, the rums develop rich and round aromas of oak that have helped forge the business’’ strong reputation.
