Price estimate statistics ----The story of Marie Duffau starts in 1893, when Prosper Delord, renowned distiller, took his still from property to property to create white wine for the production of armagnac. Some years later, he married Marie Duffau, owner of several hectares of vines which she bought from her parents at the end of the 19th century. In the 1930s, their two sons Gaston and Georges took over the business. They distilled and sold the armagnacs around the world. The 42 hectares of vines include four traditional grape varieties for the production of the spirit: Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Baco and Folle-Blanche. Aware of current environmental issues and with the aim of protecting biodiversity, the estate cultivates its vines according to the principles of sustainable agriculture. Distillation is carried out in Lannepax, in the middle of winter, then the cuvées are aged in the cellar for several years during which time they develop their round and delicious aromas.
