The Montebello distillery is known throughout the world for producing delicious, authentic rums drawing on its unique, traditional expertise. Founded in 1930, it is nestled in the heart of the town of Petit-Bourg in Guadeloupe and almost closed after WWII but luckily was bought by Jean Marsolle and his son Alain, two enthusiasts keen to modernize the distillery. This led to it becoming one of Guadeloupe’’s leading distilleries. It has been skilfully run by Alain’’s son Grégory Marsolle since 2012. His goal is to produce outstanding rums with a more sustainable and respectful approach to the environment and biodiversity. With this in mind, he has made the decision to reuse all waste products. It is within this context of harmony that the distillery offers high-quality rums that reflect the unique and meticulous expertise of a passionate distiller.
