Moutai is the world-famous distillery known for producing a Chinese white spirit in Maotai from a more than 300-year-old recipe. The distillery follows a long and very strict production process that requires patience and rigour to create its exceptional liquors. After being steamed nine times and undergoing eight fermentations and seven distillations, it takes the distillery almost a whole year to complete all the steps involved in its manufacture. This truly luxurious product, one of China’’s leading products made using entirely traditional methods, is China’’s oldest organic alcohol.
