Donated by la Maison Ferrand

Each year, Planteray Rum selects unique casks made by the best distilleries to be included in the Prestige Single Casks range for the La Maison du Whisky Creation Catalogue. At the Whisky Live Paris 2024 charity auction, a rare magnum of each of the three selected casks for the Foundations Catalogue was produced and donated by the brand:

Planteray Rum 23 Year Old 2001 Clarendon MLC
Vol.: 1.75L - ABV: 51.5%
Produced using double distillation, this version was initially aged for 18 years in a bourbon cask in the tropical climates of Jamaica before being matured for 5 years in a cognac cask in the cellars at Maison Ferrand. With an ester content of 490 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol, its range of aromas and flavours become wonderfully autumnal over time.

Planteray Rum 20 Year Old 2004 Barbados
Vol.: 1.75L - ABV: 55.5%
Distilled in Barbados, this version was aged for 11 years in bourbon casks in a tropical climate then matured in a cognac cask for nine years in the cellars at Maison Ferrand. It has an ester content of 229 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. Rich and unique, its range of aromas and flavours is a series of layers that blend seamlessly into one another. At the top of this structure are the absolutely sublime fragrances and flavours of tonka bean.

PLANTERAY RUM 23 Year Old 2001 Fiji Pot Still
Vol.: 1.75L - ABV: 51%
Founded in 1980 and located in the town of Lautoka, Rum & Co of Fiji is the only distillery in this archipelago. Distilled in an alembic pot still, this version has an ester content of 189 grams per hectolitres of pure alcohol. Aged for 19 years in bourbon casks in the tropical climate of the Fiji Islands, it was then matured for 4 years in cognac casks in the Maison Ferrand cellars. With an ester content of 189 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol, its range of remarkably balanced aromas and flavours draws on very simple sequences to emphasise its original character.
