Cuvée presentation

A Jacques Lagan cognac distilled in 1917 and aged for more than 50 years in oak casks before being bottled at cask strength.

The distillery Jacques Lagan

Jacques Lagan is known throughout the world for its exceptional rich and aromatic cognacs which are brought to life by unique, ancestral expertise. The house is proud to use a very traditional distillation process and typical old copper Charentais stills. To create these rich and flavoursome spirits, the distiller must follow a very strict production process that requires patience and rigour. First, white varieties of grape are pressed immediately after harvest, before being transferred for fermentation. During fermentation, the grape juice is turned into alcohol. This wine is then distilled twice in a still. After this, the distiller collects the pure spirit, which will be aged in oak barrels for a number of years that varies for each bottling. Jacques Lagan draws on its patience and passion to create these outstanding spirits nicknamed the ‘liquor of the gods’.
