Glentauchers

Glentauchers est construite dans le Speyside par James Buchanan & Co. en 1898, en plein boom du whisky. La distillerie sert alors à alimenter les blends phares du groupe : Buchanan's et Black & White. Comme de nombreuses autres distilleries à la même période, Glentauchers augmente sensiblement ses capacités de production en 1966 et ferme en 1985, en plein Whisky Loch. Elle est rachetée en 1989 par Allied Distillers qui la relance en 1992 pour fournir le blend Ballantine's. Si on peut trouver un 12 ans officiel des années 1970 ou plus récemment un 15 ans lancé en 2017, Glentauchers se rencontre surtout chez les négociants.
