En 1724, Rémy Martin, viticulteur dans la région de Cognac, crée sa marque éponyme. Tous les raisins utilisés pour la fabrication de son cognac proviennent exclusivement des deux meilleurs crus de la région : la Grande et la Petite Champagne. Parmi ces cognacs d'exception, le Louis XIII, créé en 1874, devient le produit emblématique de la maison. Issu d'un assemblage de 1 200 eaux-de-vies vieillies en fût de chêne du Limousin, le Louis XIII est un cognac d'une grande finesse aromatique.
